![]() ![]() Mac users can use Multiscape for an easy change. Drag and drop between windows is such a breeze, and a bonus tip: setup a dual monitor wallpaper that stretches across both screens for a wow effect. Its like having a bigger table to lay out all your stuff where you can see and reach them, instead of having them stacked up under papers and stuff. It takes a while to get used to (hey, where’s my cursor!?) but once you realize how much time you wasted alt-tabbing between windows, you will want to have all your important windows open at the same time and memorize their position. Trust me, once you have this setup, you will wonder how you ever managed without it. Combined with codekit auto refresh and dual monitors, I can just look at the site on another screen and watch it build instantly as I type. You can't fully appreciate a dual monitor setup until you start coding. ![]() I use it all the time because it makes a lot of sense if you are editing CSS, you get that instant gratification everytime you write a line of code. It uses a keyboard shortcut to turn the feature on and off so you can use it only when you need it. A simple package called auto-save will automatically save the file after you stopped typing with a one second delay. Sublime Text is by far my favourite text editor for so many reasons and this just adds to the list. ![]() Now lets remove the last part of the repetition: saving changes. Thanks to Codekit, you no longer need to alt tab and refresh. ![]()
